Hinata looked down at the necklace in her hands, tears streaming down her face. “I’m so sorry, Sakura. I never meant for this to happen to you,” she whispered.
Meanwhile, inside the necklace, Sakura’s soul floated in a void. She could see the outside world through a window-like opening, but she was unable to leave the necklace. “What’s going on? What happened to me?” she wondered, looking down at her translucent hands.
Sakura looked outside the necklace and saw her body lying motionless on the floor. “Why is my body on the floor? Why can I see it?” she asked herself.
She looked up and saw Hinata, still in Anko’s form, crying. “Hinata! I’m in your necklace and it looks like I’m trapped in here!” Sakura shouted, but there was no response from Hinata.
“Okay, this is just annoying. Not only am I stuck here, but Hinata can’t even hear me,” Sakura thought to herself. “But I won’t give up. I’ll find a way to leave this place and return to my body,” she said determinedly.
Hinata rose from her seat and gently lifted Sakura’s lifeless body onto her shoulder. In Anko’s form, she was stronger than in her normal form, and she carried Sakura with ease. She quickly paid for their meal and left the restaurant.
As soon as Hinata stepped outside, she felt the eyes of the people on the street upon her. She started to feel scared and worried by their stares, and she began to run, taking any path that didn’t have many people on it until she reached her home.
Once inside, Hinata carefully laid Sakura’s body down on a spare bed. Just then, she felt the necklace activate and she was transformed back into her normal form. Relieved, Hinata took a shower and rested for a while before going to make dinner for herself and Sakura.
Hinata didn’t feel too well because of what had happened to Sakura, so she made a simple meal for herself and some soup for Sakura. She was determined to take care of Sakura’s body while her soul was trapped inside the necklace. After finishing her meal, Hinata took the soup and some water to Sakura’s bedside and made sure that her body was fed and hydrated. Then, exhausted from the day’s events, Hinata went to bed to rest.
While Hinata rested in her bed, a mysterious woman was gathering information on the necklace. “So Hinata has started to use the necklace I made and she’s transformed into four women so far. That’s a good start, but I’ll have to wait some time before my plan can begin,” she said to herself, chuckling. “It has begun.”
Meanwhile, inside the necklace, Sakura was grateful for Hinata’s care for her body even without her soul inside it. She was starting to gain a lot more respect for Hinata. Suddenly, a portal opened behind her and, out of curiosity, she stepped through it.
What Sakura saw could only be described as beautiful. There were flowers everywhere, animals roaming freely and beautiful lakes. She also saw many versions of Hinata and the characters that Hinata had transformed into so far, including a copy of herself.
“Wow, where am I?” Sakura asked in amazement.
“You are inside Hinata’s heart,” replied a voice. Sakura looked up to see a version of Hinata as beautiful as an angel.
Sakura was stunned by her beauty. Angel Hinata landed in front of her and extended her hand, which Sakura took. Hinata wanted to show her as much as possible.
“How did I get here?” Sakura asked.
“Because you were in the necklace, you are now connected to Hinata on a deeper level. And because the real Hinata has shown selflessness towards you even in your situation, that is what made your visit here possible,” Angel Hinata explained.
As Angel Hinata showed Sakura around, she saw different versions of Hinata representing different parts of her personality: happiness, sadness, kindness, worry. But she couldn’t see any personality like bad or uncaring.
And not to anyone’s surprise, there was a shrine dedicated to Naruto with a large statue of him smiling down at them. Many versions of Hinata were gathered around him, swooning, fainting, offering him gifts and even touching the statue. This freaked Sakura out a bit but because it was Hinata it made too much sense.
“So are all the different Hinata's here just different parts of her?” Sakura asked.
“Yes,” replied Angel Hinata. “You are seeing who Hinata truly is inside her heart. And while the shrine and statue may seem weird to most people, they just show how much respect and love she has for the young man she’s looked up to most of her life. He’s her motivation to improve herself more than anything in the world.”
Sakura smiled and nodded. “I completely believe what you said. And it’s amazing to hear you say it so confidently because the real Hinata I know would be way too shy to admit even a bit of that without fainting.”
Angel Hinata took Sakura to meet the copies of the characters that Hinata had transformed into before. But when Sakura saw the Anko copy, she became angry and walked up to her. “What the hell was that with you controlling Hinata’s body like that? It was incredibly rude of you to just take my food like that,” she said.
Anko just laughed. “Well, I am a bit crazy and forward with my ways. Plus, I just wanted to show Hinata how to act more confidently while I was in control.”
Sakura was taken aback by her answer. “Is this your real personality?” she asked.
Anko thought for a moment and said, “Well, yes. I do act confident and nicer in public, but on my own I’m crazy and more on the rude and wild side. No one can push me around because that’s how I really am with my personality.”
Sakura started to feel sad. “It’s just that when you took over Hinata’s body, even for a short time, I thought I had lost Hinata forever and she was just going to act rude and unkind like you.”
Anko put a hand on her shoulder. “I’m sorry. It was my first time in Hinata’s heart because of the necklace and I just wanted to let loose. And by the way, the food I took from you tasted great.”
Sakura looked at Anko. "Can you promise me that if you take over Hinata again, you'll be a bit more tame, please?"
Anko nodded. "I will because you're my friend. And because I'm in Hinata's heart, I feel more or less the same way she does. When she transforms into anyone, it adds more of a mix of that person's personality with her normal kind one."
Sakura turned towards her copy. "This feels weird seeing a copy of myself. It's like looking in a mirror." The Copy Sakura smiled and said, "Hello It's nice to meet you. I'm just a part of Hinata's heart, but I'm happy to be here and help her in any way I can."
Sakura turned to copy Ino. "How are you doing, Ino? I haven't seen you around much lately."
“I’m doing well, thanks for asking. Just keeping busy with the flower shop and my missions. How about you?” asked Ino
“I’ve been doing okay, all things considered. Being trapped in this necklace has been a wild ride, but I’m learning a lot and making the best of it. And seeing Hinata grow and become stronger has been really inspiring. You seem much nicer towards me. Is it because you're here in Hinata's heart?" Sakura asked.
"Yes," nodded Ino. "It's like Anko said, I feel more like Hinata feels so I don't feel like calling you names or being mean to you. And it's so relaxing and beautiful here. It was amazing seeing Hinata use my mind transfer jutsu and I hope it really helps her in the future."
Sakura had a bright smile on her face. "I imagine that Hinata will use your jutsu wisely and I'm glad she transformed into you. Also, make sure to take over her from time to time to help her express herself better with her clothes and makeup, okay?"
Ino had a big smile on her face and said, "You can count on me to do that."
Finally, Sakura looked at Tenten. "While I didn't think I would bump into you already as the third person that Hinata would transform into, I think it was a blessing to make her a lot better at using ninja tools. And the look on her face when she cheered and then blushed was so cute."
Tenten was happy to hear this and gave Sakura a thumbs up saying “It was amazing to see Hinata using my ninja tools so skillfully. She’s a natural at it. And the way she cheered and blushed was just adorable. I’m glad I could help her in my own way.”.
Sakura noticed that the copies weren't wearing their normal clothes but clothes similar to Angel Hinata.
"You all look beautiful like this," said Sakura, complimenting their looks.
All four girls were happy with Sakura’s compliment.
Angel Hinata looked at Sakura and said, “I’m sorry to say that the tour of Hinata’s heart has to end for now because the real Hinata is about to wake up. If you’re still in her when she wakes up, you would be possessing her body and that would throw her heart off balance. Your soul would start to take over as its new host. So take my hand and follow me.”
Sakura understood and looked at the copies. “I’ll be back when I get the chance and of course I’ll help the real Hinata in my own way,” she said. The copies nodded and Sakura took Angel Hinata’s hand. She led Sakura back to the portal she had entered through.
“It was great that you could see more of Hinata,” said Angel Hinata. “I would love to send you back to your body, but even I don’t understand how the necklace works right now. It feels like both a blessing and a curse. But hopefully, with you by her side as a spirit, you can help her.”
“How can I do anything to help Hinata? It’s not like I can leave the necklace. I would know because I’ve tried to leave,” asked Sakura.
“Well, I’ve learned something. Because you’re a spirit, you should be able to possess any female that’s close by,” said Angel Hinata. “Let’s say that Hinata has to be within a few feet for you to be able to possess someone. That’s how you can help her. But be warned, the further away you are from the necklace, the less control you’ll have over someone. So keep that in mind when you possess someone.”
Sakura understood and waved goodbye to Angel Hinata as the portal to Hinata’s heart closed. The real Hinata was now awake and resolved to help her best friend.
